My health is heading south. I am day two not really able to eat. The infection in the throat causes my throat to close when I eat or drink. Yesterday I could not eat the steak, and tonight I could not eat the fajitas marinada from Mi Pueblito. The food was good as always, but my throat is too swollen, and I have lost my taste buds.
Based on my painkiller dosage the infection has to be getting smaller. But maybe not because last night I woke up screaming from the neuropathic pain. The infusion therapy drains me. My throat is in really bad shape. Come Monday I will be down to three more weeks.
On the painkiller I started on three different painkillers. After 5 days I went to 2, using the morphine as a bridge to get from hour 3 to 4 of the hydrocodone. Then I went to just a higher dosage of hydrocodone, with no morphine. I left the hospital taking a hydrocode every 4 hours to now one every 10 hours. But I feel like the infection is getting worse. My left foot is numb. The infection is in the nervous system.
It is very rare you find a case like mine. Today I met a man who developed his infection because the jailers at Carrizales refused to treat his foot infection. He underwent a week of therapy at Valley Regional, and then 4 weeks as an outpatient.
This is important for me because the ER doctor at Valley Regional claimed the did not treat infectious decrease for antibiotic resistance. It turns out the infectious decease doctor treating me in Brownsville, who is amazing, has privileges at Valley Regional.
Also, his case along with so many others reaffirm for me it is rare for a patient to spend 5 weeks in the hospital. I was to do another 5 at an inpatient facility, but no one would take me because of the complexity of my case. I am doing fine at home. I am just tired. In the hospital you fall asleep after the infusion. There is no sleeping at home.
ANOTHER BROKEN PIPE - CAUSED BY THE BPUB
Several years ago, they changed out an old meter. They installed it wrong. The line from the meter into my line is not aligned. It causes stress cracks. Within weeks it broke.
Well today it broke again. Daniel Sanchez, with the BPUB who was directing the real worker refused to access the area of the brake. He said his supervisor Seth Sanchez told him to tell me to file a complaint. He never actually looked at the break. The real worker was explaining to him it was just 6 more inches to get to the break. He ordered the worker to not access it.
Last time, I let it slide. Not this time. These BPUB workers make the good ones look bad. First, he said it was a pinhole leak, even though he could not see the leak. I can assure you it is a complete fracture caused by the misaligned lines. Then he blamed the nonexistent roots. He outright refused to look at the leak because he knew it would show the BPUB installed the new meter incorrectly.
So now, Rooter Router is telling me it will be after midnight. I will stay awake. At least they will come out.
