JOHN DOE, AGAIN A VICTIM OF DWI, AND ASSAULT

There are two cases involving John Doe as a DWI and assault victim.  Saenz refused to prosecute both.

This time the state troopers made clear they are not police officers with the City of Brownsville. 

John Doe was parked outside a friend's house.  A 2008 GMC Yukon came around the corner slammed him in the back of his father's older truck.  Because I can hear it now, John Doe is on the insurance.  It is his grandfather's old truck. He is allowed to use it as needed.  He also uses it to take his grandmother to the store. 

John Doe's truck was hit so hard, it moved forward and hit the neighbor's car in the rear.  The driver. according to the witnesses who called 911, got out of his Yukon, was clearly drunk, and approached John Doe and slammed him in the head.  The man's girlfriend told him to run, and he did.

We learned today there is insurance.  This was good news.

Here is the problem, the girlfriend's mother's home is across the street, and the driver was ID for DPS.

So, will Saenz prosecute him?  Nope.  John Doe's father and I will speak to him tomorrow. He has told us he is suffering from anxiety.  He is not eating or sleeping since the accident more than a week ago.

It occurred to us; he may be suffering from revisiting the DWI years ago wherein he nearly died and was in a coma when he was medevacked to San Antonio, and the year he lost as a cripple waiting for surgery.

Because of Gabby Garcia's violation of his HIPPA rights he had to stop seeing his doctors at New Horizon.  I will find him a new counselor tomorrow.  It is not good.

Compounding all of this the post office is claiming he moved and did not leave a forwarding address.  This is a lie.  I do not know who is behind the scam.  Housing and his apartment manager will verify he is at the address.
