I waited in anticipation today for the mailers in the runoff. Although I would only receive a mailer in the At Large race, I can find no evidence of any mailers being received today.
Even if the mailers do not reach our homes until Wednesday, one would think they would be on the candidates' FB pages. Nothing.
Last time Nurith Galonsky made no effort to beat Martinez. His win was no shocker. It appears whatever deal they made fell through so now she is going head-to-head with Roy De Los Santos.
No matter who wins in both elections Brownsville will not be served. There is plenty of negativity against all 4 candidates without having to go to a blogger who rambles with no specifics.
But the lack of any last-minute push today raises the question, did the 4 candidates run out of money. We know Galonsky did not run out of money, but she seems to be unwilling to spend daddy's millions.
It appears Daisy Zamora's campaign has petered out. Unable to compete with Cardenas dollar for dollar leaves he compaign on the edge, but not lost yet.
