YOU WANTED TARIFFS ON SHRIMP, WELL GOOD LUCK FINDING AFFORDABLE SHRIMP
What I said would happen happened, Gulf Shrimp distributors raised the price once the price for imported farm raised shrimp went up. I am not paying $12.00 a pound for medium Wild Gulf Shrimp. HEB did not have any Gulf Shrimp or wild caught shrimp from Argentina. Walmart had very little choice.
I had fully planned on cooking 4 pounds on the Blackstone, to go with Nicaraguan rice. I love cooking my fresh vegetables on the Blackstone. I cancelled dinner, I am also tired from 2 doctor appointments.
Not all of this is because of tariffs. I think some companies are just raising prices thinking we will blame tariffs. Rao Marinara sauce was up $2 a jar yesterday, and today I saw it up $3 a jar. The tomatoes are imported from Italy [side note tomatoes were taken from the Americas to Italy.] The sauce is actually made here in the US. So, who knows.
I charge everything on one card to get my AA frequent flyer miles. Before the election I averaged about $2,400 in charges per month. I now average about $3,600 a month. It is not all tariffs. I blame a lot on price gauging. My shopping is a lot more targeted in the last 2 weeks.
MY HEATH STATUS
Today I had the PICC line removed. We are going to try 3 weeks on a pill antibiotic linezolid 600 mg. My doctor prefers the Daptomycin IV, but knows I am completely wasted after 14 weeks of IV therapy. If the Linezolid does not work in 3 weeks, it may be back to the IV.
I basically have the worst bacterial infection possible. It is very difficult to treat.
My frustration right now is, I was repeatedly told a culture of the ear infection would not be helpful.
My outpatient infectious decease doctor ordered the culture. The report clearly indicates I have two bacterial infections. For each it lists IV antibiotic options. It then says if I am resistant or if it may work. I am resistant to both antibiotics I had taken for 14 weeks.
Linezolid is listed as an option I may respond to.
It is mind-numbing to me everyone opposed the culture which specifically named which antibiotic I should be on.
