SMOTHERS BROTHERS BEAT CBS AFTER HAVING THEIR SHOW CANCELLED

This is the benefit of being alive while history is being made.  I remember this so clearly.  My family never missed the show.  There was nothing inappropriate with the values being espoused so long as they met our family values.

Week to week we waited to hear about CBS censorship.  There was no First Amendment issue in that the decision to censor was all on CBS.

The Smothers Brothers asked for Congress to help, but none was forthcoming. 

They remained popular.  If we only had cable back then.

At night sometimes my sister and I would watch the old Red Skelton show.  When I visited her during that last year before the cancer took her, we would stay up until 3 a.m., just to watch Red Skelton.  We were both horrified by the amount of sexual innuendo. As kids we did not see it.  I guess our parents were okay with all the sexual innuendo because we as the kids did not see it.

 I am done with network TV.  The good news is I already only watch about 75% old black and white.  I do watch new movies on Prime.  I am not going to support censorship

AGAIN, A VERY HARD NO ON BISD BONDS

We are approaching 300, teaches now facing complaints over their comments concerning Kirk.  If you support any bond issue which promotes a MAGA education, you are anti-teacher and anti-student. If BISD loses the bond issue, you watch how fast the school districts fight to protect their teachers.

Once BISD protects our teachers, I will consider additional funding.  I will not support funding a MAGA education - end of story.
