A NEW HOPE FOR ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY AND JUSTICE
Believe what you want, but we have moved into stage one of the socialist revolution. There were no massive protests, falling a government. There was not a shot fired. There was an election, where the socialist democrat overcame some of the worst disinformation campaign, which included the press, and won a fair election.
In theory how the win came about is important. People looked at how they were living, and how billionaires were taking more than they were giving and said enough. The revolutionary change came from within and not imposed on a frustrated people.
The people are NYC. The wealthy who tried to claim the sky was falling, do not see the people who clean their apartments, and office buildings. They do not see the venders who keep the people fed. They do not see any of the service industry which keeps NYC operating. Without the service industry, there is no NYC.
I remember when Times Square was adult theaters and stores. Now it is a world renown tourist attraction. It generates a ton of money for NYC and gives the millionaires and billionaires the comfort which makes NYC what it is.
Contract law and capitalism provide for the benefit of the bargain. The millionaires and billionaires now prefer the welfare state, rather than paying their fair share for what they receive.
The NYPD costs money. Without the NYPD NYC would not be livable. While it is true many millionaires and billionaires pay for their own security, that is personal security and not the security which keeps the streets reasonably safe. Without the NYPD these entitled individuals would be spending a lot more for personal security.
These entitled individuals have no idea how the NYPD protects their businesses, and workers.
These entitled individuals have no idea how our military protects their corporate and personal assets.
Millionaires and billionaires do not want to pay for the benefit they receive. Without our military protecting their assets all over the world, they would have nothing.
It is too late for this mega change in politics to help with Texas politics. Although I would say it is not too late for candidates in contested primaries to formally adopt the social democrat label and policies. Yea, like that would happen.
But 2027, city elections will see change.
We begin now demanding a living wage, and a minimum wage of $15.00 an hour.
We have time to end the Plantation Democrats in Cameron County before 2028.
It would be nice if a group could form to push the Social Democrats, but it does not work that way. They would self-destruct almost immediately. To work it needs one strong voice others would follow.
We need a real Social Democrat to begin soon running for mayor. That candidate if a Mamdani who knows how to build a coalition could lead the way. Then other candidates would try and follow him. We need a coalition of people who can work together, but not a party.
The party is formed as more and more candidates win. In the beginning we need a candidate who can create a coalition but is his own voice.
