ACCORDING TO THE SOS, ADAM HINOJOSA HAS NOT YET CROSSED 50 +1%. DOES HE NOT NEED 50 +1, TO BE DECLARED THE WINNER?
IMMEDIATE UPDATE, THIS ELECTION REMAINS UNRESOLVED
Texas law makes it impossible for a quick resolution. If Adam Hinojosa does not reach 50+1, by canvas day there will be a runoff. November 23rd is the earliest before we know the final result and if there will be a runoff.
"For all district (including single-county districts), federal, and statewide races, the state canvass is the final canvass. (Tex. Elec. Code § 67.010). The state canvass for the November 5, 2024 General Election must be held no earlier than the 18th day after election day (Saturday, November 23, 2024) and no later than the 33rd day after election day (Monday, December 9, 2024). Since the actual deadline (the 33rd day) falls on a Sunday, the deadline is moved to the next business day. (Secs. 1.006, 67.012)."
NO ONE ELSE BUT THE BV2 IS GIVING YOU ACCURATE REPORTING
THE TEXAS SECRETARY OF STATE AND TEXAS TRIBUNE HAVE FAILED TO RESPOND TO MY QUESTION CONCERNING THE 50+1 ISSUE.
If there is a runoff, Trump will not be on the ballot, and the LaMantia family will spend millions to win this seat.
The Texas Tribune declared him the winner, but is he? I am willing to listen to any insight on this issue of 50+1 to avoid a runoff.
