She is now the second female Head of State to take on Trump. Trum does not seem to understand Latin American takes pride in their independence from the US. It is called Tiosamismo.. They will not tolerate undue influence in their countries.
For 40 years US troops have been stationed in Honduras. President Castro has made it clear if Trump carries out its mass deportation threat, she will send the US troops packing. She is not stupid. It will hurt the Honduran economy. But it will hurt the US drug war in that the role of the US stopping it in Honduras, will come to an end.
None of these countries seem to object to the US deporting criminals. But they are not going to tolerate the disruption of families already in the US.
Marco Rubio as Secretary of State will humiliate Trump and fall flat on his face. Again, Trump has no use for reality and just wants to govern as he pleases. Kamala Harris had no understanding of this and fell flat on her face during her trip to Guatemala. They are not going to tolerate this nonsense.
Marco Rubio is the Cuban Latin Americans love to hate. Not all, but most countries stand in solidarity with Cuba as a symbol against US oppression. Marco Rubio is going to be on the receiving end of a lot of cold shoulders.
