A TRUE BELLWETHER ELECTION

The election returns will be posted here.  Because most readers only care about the BISD Bond issue. it will be the first.

ELECTION DAY RETURNS

BISD Bonds:  Both Propositions fail big in early voting.

Prop. 1:  For 2001 Against 2874

Prop: 2.  For 1820; Against 3053

I have to ask, who requests a tax increase at the same time people are getting their tax bill?

This is a reflection on the incompetence of the Superintendent and Trustees. 

NYC Mayor:  Social Democrat Mamdani takes the win.

NJ Governor:  Democrat takes Gov. House

Virgina Governor: Dem. takes Gov. Lt. Governor, and AG

California Redistricting:  Redistricting Prop passes overwhelmingly

BISD:  I have no idea how this will turn out.  I oppose one penny to help solidify the move to a MAGA curriculum.  You are not pro children or teachers if you support the bonds.  I can see more people of means leaving the district for private schools, rather than continue to expose their children to a MAGA curriculum. 

NYC:

This election is truly Bellwether because NYC will decide if it wants a Democratic Socialist as major.  If yes, the Democratic Socialists all over the country are ready to move forward.

As always, I am bored with the talking heads.  Contrary to the big Trump talking point the financial capital of the world worth trillions of dollars, NYC, will not become socialist.  The financial capital of the world will not collapse. 

Social Democrat Mamdani has already said if he wins, he will keep Jessica Tisch, as the Police Commissioner.  She is a woman and comes from a prominent Jewish family.  Words are meaningless, acts are everything.  He supports a Jewish woman as Police Commissioner.  Please stop with the Islamophobia.  

He is not anti-Israel.  He has denounced the genocide in the Gaza War.  Prominent Republicans have done the same.  He has refused to recognize Israel until Israel recognizes Palestine. He stands for a two-state solution.  People of all political views around the country and the world stand for same. 

He stands for creating city run grocery stores in places where no commercial grocery stores exist.  These are high crime and low-income places.  If the big grocery chains oppose this all they have to do is build grocery stores in what is called desert areas without grocery stores.  It is so simple.

NJ AND VIRGINIA GOVERNOR ELECTIONS

This is a vote for or against Trump.  If Trump loses both, we know he will claim fraud.  But it will empower the Democrats through the country.

CALIFORNIA REDISTRICTING

Texas does not get it.  California can draw congressional lines which truly favor them along with moderate independents.

For Texas to win the 5 seats they seek to steal from Democrats they need to make sure the independents will hold with the Republicans.  The polling shows this is an uphill battle for Republicans.
