What this audio shows, which I have played many times is, Cameron County Commissioners assigned themselves large numbers of the initial Covid vaccine. In Joey's case he claims he gave his allotments to several churches with a request they be given to people over 65.
First and foremost, the vaccines should have been triaged by medical providers who could better target the most needed patients.
A child could have figured out how to get the vaccines to cancer treatment centers. We have more than enough diabetes doctors who could have insured the most at risk got the vaccine first. This is why medical officials with the county should have triaged the use of the vaccine for those designated at the highest risk.
No, Joey Lopez and all the county commissioners used these vaccines for political gain. All over this country elected officials have been criminally charged for the same conduct.
But here in Cameron County first Eric Garza ran cover for the commissioners and now Manny Treviño. Manny Treviño is nothing more than a cover up agent for the county commissioners.
Depending on how they are charged it is not too late. to hold them accountable. No one expects Manny Trevino to do his job.
If just one cancer or diabetes patient died because they were denied the original dosage of the vaccine, that is on Joey Lopez and every other commissioner.
Everyone challenging any sitting commissioner needs to play this audio on their FB page or other campaign page over and over until the message is heard loud and clear.
