DON LEMON DEMANDS JOURNALISTIC SANCTUARY AFTER VIOLATING THE LONG-HELD TRADITION OF CHURCH SANCTUARY

I do not care how you feel about religion.  You can believe it is time to tax the church while supporting the long-held tradition of sanctuary.  This scene from the Hunchback of Notre Dame is the best-known scene. Church Sanctuary may be the last refuge of immigrants.  Do you really want to end Church Sanctuary because you do not like religion? 

If you feel a need to support Don Lemon, I am okay with that.  But remember when January 6th type protesters storm the sanctuary of the church to remove immigrants, your position will already be known. 

SANCTUARY

Don Lemon knew he was violating the sanctuary of a church.  The rule does not give journalists a pass.  The rule does not change because you do not like how the church is being used.  

Unless they are committing criminal conduct in plain view a church is always off limits.

I am so tired of journalism privilege. In the world of blogging the definition of journalism is now anyone who reports news.

If Don Lemon broke the law let him pay.  In terms of a social crime, breaching the sanctuary of a church, is in the top 5.
