AND CANADA'S WILDFIRES: WE ARE NOT READY AND TRUMP IS MAKING IT WORSE

UPDATE:
It has been brought to my attention and earthquake yesterday was felt from El Salvador to Mexico City. The earthquake was centered well south of Mexico City. This size earthquake centered in and around Mexico City would have been an international disaster.

Mexico City has a history of strong earthquakes. You do not have to be a geologist to understand how unstable the land is beneath Mexico City. We are not ready to help with a mass earthquake in Mexico City.
The Canadian fires are impacting the air quality in the Northern US states.
Nature knowns no borders. Trump's actions towards Canada make clear he is not interested in the global relationship between the three countries. Any major catastrophe which impacts one, impacts all three.
FROM NEWS SOURCES:
"MEXICO CITY (AP) — Mexico City is sinking by nearly 10 inches (about 25 centimeters) a year, according to new satellite imagery released this week by NASA, making it one of the world’s fastest-subsiding metropolises. One of the world’s most sprawling and populated urban areas, at 3,000 square miles (about 7,800 square kilometers) and some 22 million people, the Mexican capital and surrounding cities were built atop an ancient lake bed. Many downtown streets were once canals, a tradition that continues in the rural fringes." "“It damages part of the critical infrastructure of Mexico City, such as the subway, the drainage system, the water, the potable water system, housing and streets,” said Enrique Cabral, a researcher studying geophysics at the National Autonomous University of Mexico. “It’s a very big problem."

"US President Donald Trump has threatened to impose new tariffs on Canada after hundreds of wildfires have left much of the northern US covered by a blanket of smoke.

"The United States is being unnecessarily invaded by filthy, polluted, and unhealthy air," Trump said, threatening to impose new levies over Canada's "willful negligence".
As of Saturday, there were about 955 fires actively burning in Canada, according to the Canadian Wildland Fire Information System - with the majority burning out of control.
More than 190 of those blazes are burning in Ontario, some out of control.
Trump said in his post to Truth Social that he would call Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney to demand an explanation over his country's "willful negligence," accusing the country of "not properly maintaining" their forests and brush.
