NYC MAYOR AND DEMOCRATIC SOCIALIST V. REPUBLICAN HACK JOHN COWEN

Yesterday in keeping with his promises, Mayor Mamdani turned down a pay raise.

"New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani has rejected a proposed salary increase after the City Council approved a pay hike for top officials. The 34-year-old mayor said he does not plan to accept the extra money. Mamdani said New Yorkers have bigger concerns than the mayor's salary.

His decision aligns with his efforts to reduce government spending and promote affordable housing initiatives.

John is hiding behind the process and effectively putting the blame on the Charter Review Committee.

John Cowen reminds the voters the decision will be theirs on November 6, 2026.  

But in the same way NYC Mayor Mamdani said he will not accept the pay raise; John Cowen can make the same statement.  He will not so long as he can hide behind the skirts on the Charter Review Committee. 

He will show his true colors on the issue on July 21, 2026, when he can vote down the pay raise at the city commission meeting. 

The pay raise is very Trumpian as a loyalty reward for the income challenged city commissioners.
