THE BV2 CALLED THE REPUBLICAN SWEEP LAST NIGHT TO INCLUDE CAMERON COUNTY

Thank you to the droves of readers who have come back.  The BV2 will be different.  I am looking at South Texas and what is happening to change how we vote.

We need to rebuild the Democratic Party.  If the Republicans can actually find someone to lead Cameron County Republicans, 2026 can and will be a bloodbath for the Democrats.

If Elon Musk does the right thing, he will remind President Elect Trump that Cameron County, Texas voted for him.  It is inconceivable to me that Gilberto Hinojosa will not be forced to resign.  Again, Cameron County kicked his butt.  But Elon Musk can deliver a lot to Cameron County.  I still do not like him, but if he can help Cameron County, why not?

Had the Republicans had an organized party in Cameron County, they for sure would have won the race for tax assessor.  That race was closer than the others.  I am not sure Manrrique could have won the sheriff's race.  But Deborah Bell, as the Republican Chair in Cameron County went missing. There was no organized effort in Cameron County for the Republicans.  But the fact based on national and local frustration Trump won Cameron County, if I were a Democrat running in 2026, I would be in fear of the Republicans actually electing a real organizer for the Cameron County Republican Party.  Deborah Bell should resign forthwith.

LAMANTIA COULD NOT BUY HERSELF ANOTHER ELECTION

If you do the math there are not enough votes uncounted for LaMantia to win.  She can now go back to helping her family take away our right to file valid lawsuits. 

PENA JUST WILL NOT GO AWAY

Gilberto Hinojosa went missing because he knew he was too toxic for his candidates.  Did he even appear with Vicente Gonzalez after the disaster 2 years ago?  At the end of the campaign Republicans Ted Cruz and Greg Abbott came to south Texas.  Colin Allred, Democrat for US Senate, stayed in his safe home in Dallas.  That was millions of dollars wasted, which could have gone to other elections.

ONCE YOU WIN, THE QUESTION IS CAN YOU GOVERN?

I like so many others were wrong in believing the election would still be uncalled, as Pennsylvania struggled to count their ballots. Trump won handily in Pennsylvania, which is why by 11 p.m. last night it was over.  There was just no path to a Harris victory.

Trump's victory in large measure was the economy. Because of the stock market, I am doing better.  But the fact remains that there are only 5 counties in the entire United States where the growth of income outpaced inflation.  That means in nearly every case, people had less money to spend.  And because people are reckless, they are spending it on Plus -TV stations. 

THE PEOPLE HAVE SPOKEN, AND I RESPECT THE VOTE

But can Trump govern?  There is no issue Trump owns the Republican Party.  I do not see any Republican crossing Trump.  Johnson will be the most powerful Speaker we have had in a long time, so long as he bows to Trump.  There is an open race for who will be the Senate Majority leader.

The governing side includes the abortion question.  Many Republican states which supported Trump have passed constitutional amendments in their states restoring Roe V. Wade.  Smart money has the Republicans staying away from this issue.

DOES ANYONE ACTUALLY BELIEVE TRUMP, ELON MUSK, AND JFK CAN WORK TOGETHER? 

The Executive Order myth - Trump is promising to rule by Executive Order, on day one.  He has a problem, Neil Gorsuch - Supreme Court Justice Gorsuch has developed a doctrine basically voiding many regulations which are not supported by law.

The Neil Gorsuch doctrine is now embedded in Supreme Court precedent.  This is Justice Gorsuch's opportunity to prove he is about the law, and not party affiliation.  If he holds to his doctrine, President Trump could find out that his power of the Executive Order is limited.

OKAY MY LEFT EYE

For 2 years I was told once my corrected vision got to 20/50, the corrective surgery would be performed on my retina.  My uncorrected is 20/80.  

Good news, they have learned they can correct my vision with contact lenses.  This is new.  It does not work in every case.  But imagine some of the function of your eye as your eye reaches out to your eyeglass lenses.  But if you have contacts, you can possibly correct the problems associated with such a big difference in vision in the two eyes.  If it works I will miss my glasses, but it is what it is.
