THE WASTE AT THE VA IS MASSIVE
REVIEWING THE HOSPITAL BILL
I did not see the dates. The $287,937,000 is only until February 11, 2025. There is still February 12, to the 24th, 2025. We are talking over a half a million dollars. I will have no problem finding a medical malpractice firm. With long term damage to my body, and pain and suffering, a simple verdict is a million+. These numbers ensure a major malpractice firm will take the case. They can easily earn a fee of $500,000 or more.
I have three hospitals, 2 community surgeons, and Solara to collect from. The only one 100% in the clear and deserves my praise is Valley Baptist Harlingen. The record will show Valley Baptist Brownsville sent me away after I stopped breathing and refused to do the MRI with contrast which was mandated by protocol and then my admission into the hospital. DHR put into the record I had antibiotic resistance which protocol mandates admission for treatment. He gave me a referral to an infectious disease doctor, which the VA specialist rejected. It is fair to say the evidence proves the VA doctor was dead wrong. My lab work proves the case. Even now every couple of days they measure the infection in my body, and the amount of antibiotic fighting the infection.
Look, the waste is massive. But the issue is not ending the waste, but how Putin/Musk are going about it.
You see a box of 100 insulin syringes. They are going into the medical recycle bin at the VA. They were supposed to send me the needle heads for the insulin pen. I bought them rather than waiting on the VA getting it right.
Most pills and sprays were never used. There were at least twice as many pills and sprays I already put in the medical recycle bin.
My case was extreme medical malpractice. I will be going after the two private surgeons who refused to address the infection after the failed surgeries and an inpatient treatment center Solara. I think I lasted 12 hours. The doctor refused the pain medicine for over 2 and a half hours. They blew out the midline IV when they improperly pumped the Meropenem into the IV too fast. It is normally done with a 4-hour IV drip, but they claimed it was not available in an IV bag. I am doing it as I type through my portable IV pump handing from my neck.
Once they blew the line, they were unable to continue the care. The Vancomycin could not be administered because the line was leaking. It was 3 in the morning and for an hour and 15 minutes they used me as a pin cushion because they could not access a vein. I ordered it stopped. They then told me that had no one on staff to put a new midline IV or PICC line. They would have to call someone in who is on call once the morning shift began. But 8:30 a.m. the VA agreed to remove me back to Valley Baptist.
Solara after they were told I was being moved had the chief social worker come to my room and very aggressively demand I justify my claims. It did not go well. There is now a formal VA investigation against them for falsify my medical records, which created problems. The good news is there were two eyewitnesses in my room who can verify the claims were false.
THE CURRENT HOSPITAL BILL IS $278,937.000
This does not include the 4 attending doctors. It does not include the radiologists, and so many other services.
This never should have happened but for extreme malpractice by VA doctors and several community care doctors.
Pay attention, the best my community care hearing doctor could do was a 2-month delay for the MRI with contrast to confirm the infection. We have an MRI crisis in the LRGV. Valley Baptist Harlingen ordered the MRI with contrast asap. The VA rejected the request. On any given day, VBH is behind some 6k reads. It took 6 days. They are doing their best to hire radiologist to do the reads. We have a crisis.
Valley Baptist Brownsville, Valley Regional, and DHR all sent me away. Valley Baptist Brownsville expressly refused to do the emergency MRI with contrast. I should have been admitted. The ER doctor did not have training in infectious disease.
The final bill will exceed $400,000.00 I suspect the VA will pay $200,000.00.
Do not tell me there is no waste. It is how our government works.
This was a simple sinus infection, which was ignored.
